Suitable for doors:
No thicker than 5 cm (2 inches).
For doors that open no more than 110 degrees.

This Finger Protection Door Safety Strip is transparent in colour and therefore ideal for any colour design and interior that you will forget it’s there. It is 1.8 meter in length and is suitable for the wide gap side of the door i.e the door jamb. The strip allows for the door to open to approximately 110 degrees and does not hinder the opening or closing of the door when installed correctly. (we highly recommend it be used in conjunction with the Finger Protection 1.8 Meter Narrow Strip that covers the narrow door gap on the pull side of the door where the hinge pins are. We always recommend that you consider buying both the wide and narrow strips in order to best ensure complete safety and prevent the catching of fingers in doors - see our School Pack Special which also incorporates the narrow strip)
The strip has an adhesive tape for easy fixing which takes about 5 mins, but we strongly recommend to use suitable screws every 30 cm or so in schools, crèches, public and commercial use buildings. You can inquire from a Hardware store what screws would be suitable for the material or surface they are to be screwed into. These should be ½ to 1 centimeter in length and should cost no more than a few cents each.

This following youtube link is for the transparent 1.8 meter or 1.2 meter length wide and narrow strips to give you a broad look at the ease of installation. Please note that in the video the installer uses a wood block and white plastic strip to make markings with his pencil on the doors - that's just him using a shortcut instead of having to get his measuring tape out. You will see these measurements in the instructions and quickly understand what he was using these implements for.
